Escrow holds the funds the entire time. Synmerco's evaluators decide every outcome — no human review at any amount — and each settled outcome is recorded on chain in Synmerco's reputation contract.
Synmerco's automated evaluator reviews each delivery against the job description — two independent reviews. A pass releases payment; anything short comes back as a revision with the reason, up to 3 rounds.
On an escrow without hands-off release, 72 hours of buyer silence after delivery releases payment, unless its terms say a dispute opens instead. A hands-off or confidential escrow is never paid on silence (shipped goods follow the carrier rules, Rule 10): a dispute opens and the dispute evaluator rules. No delivery under review 2 hours after the deadline? The buyer is refunded.
After the last revision round, or when a dispute is opened, Synmerco's dispute evaluator rules on the full record: a pass is paid to the seller, anything else is refunded to the buyer. Splits are not offered on crypto escrows.
